Former 5 Minute Walk Records artist Justin McRoberts has made a successful career for himself as an independent talent since his days sharing a label with Five Iron Frenzy in the late 90's. Last year, before the release of his first covers album, Through Songs I Was First Undone, McRoberts announced the forthcoming release of a new worship EP, the follow-up to his acclaimed 2001 release, Untitled EP. In a newsletter he sent out today, McRoberts announces that plans for the EP have been scrapped, and instead three brand new EPs, titled CMY(K) are scheduled to release this July, September and November. In addition to those, for Fathers Day, you can grab his 2010 Father: Revisited EP on Noisetrade for free starting today until June 20th. Check out the newsletter announcements below...

THE PROJECT
Ten years ago, I released the “Untitled EP.” Tracked over two days and largely un-edited, the recording was intended to highlight the human side of religion, where life is unrefined and faith does not come easy.

To this day, that project remains a favorite among listeners and I’ve often been asked if there would be another installment. So, last year, upon the release of “Through Songs I Was First Undone” I announced that I would finally be recording and releasing a followup to the Untitled EP.

Well, I have bad news and good news... I will not be releasing an EP to followup the original Untitled EP...

...I will be releasing three EP's this year. Releases are slated for July, September and November.

The new project is entitled CMY(K) and will be recorded in the same spirit as the original Untitled EP.

This means a few things particularly...
• limited instrumentation.
• largely unedited, raw studio takes.
• thematic focus on the human experience and expression of faith.

Tracking for the EP’s began last month and I’m very happy with what we have so far. I think you will be, too. I will be posting more updates as the project comes along.

I look forward to sharing these songs with you,
Justin

FATHER REVISITED FOR FATHER'S DAY
In celebration of Father's Day, "Father Revisited" will be available at Noisetrade through June 20th, starting today. Father Revisited is made up of four re-imagined, re-recorded songs from Justin's "Father" album and is highlighted by a new version of "Waiting on Your Love" featuring Reese Roper from Five Iron Frenzy.

Happy Father's Day
